    Mickelson is right handed but plays left... Bobby Jones said he was all lead-side dominant. But interestingly, Hogan said he was left arm then right arm dominant through impact...

    I have to say….I grew up a very good athlete (ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, etc…)…for golf, I had no technique and muscled the ball around and made excellent contact with good hand/eye coordination from a lifetime of hockey…Now 55, two hip replacements and shoulder surgery, I can’t swing harder than 95mph comfortably (driver) and would max out around 100 with the greatest of effort….after watching your channel for about two months now and grooving some of the techniques of the rotary swing, my latest numbers show, after hitting 30 drivers (something I couldn’t physically do before), an average mph of 104, maxing out at 109.3 (minimum was 101)….and, as you teach, it’s so effortless…Before this, if I hit 15 drivers in a session, that was a lot and I would feel it for days….now I can hit balls daily!!

    I almost made a major mistake signing up for this program. I found a video on UA-cam that completely solved my problem trying to get into the Pro impact position. With just some practice swings and the concept described I went out and played 18 holes without missing a shot. Every shot was on the face. Gone were the thin and fat shots. I was easily getting to my lead side in balance. Full disclosure, I was a very good player when I was younger but over the years my handicap has consistently gone up as I aged. The video I found took me down a rabbit hole until I found the magic downswing move that solved my early extension and over the top path. I have had tips work one day many times before. This isn’t a tip. It’s really an awakening that you can try yourself and experience it yourself. AND, it continues to work day after day. Go to M2M golf and look for the New downswing move describing how to start the downswing.

    Good stuff as always! One day I’ll be able to save enough pennies to get this wonderful coach-on-a-wrist. Question, how does this apply to drawing the “j”? When I pull my right wrist into extension during the backswing then draw the small curve of the j, my left wrist definitely flexes then extends again at the top of the j. The only way I can keep the extension in the lead wrist is to feel a little pronation to take me to the top… almost opening the clubface a little. Is this right?

    From top of BS to impact is less than 1/4 second. Far too fast for any conscious control. At top of BS, before DS begins there is time for a singular intention... "keep your right palm facing the sky through impact" its that simple and the body will react to that intention. Try to control those body parts once DS begins, and any golfer will develop the yips.

    I have a theory that it's because he's left-handed playing right-handed! I think his clubs are very high balanced or even counterbalanced with heavy overall weight. If you look at his positions and the things he does it's not like the typical ways that you guys always recommend getting power. There's not any type of dramatic extension with his hips there's not any type of dramatic vertical force that you can see in all these things that that everyone talks about. I think he is swinging a heavy Club overall what's much more weighted toward the handle and he is just turning and releasing that club the majority of the leverage and the power is coming from his lead side! Can't find anyone to confirm this and I can never find actual information online but that is 100% my theory right now and I'm at a point where I'm getting sick of trying to research this stuff because nobody gives you any real information. Even when I go to look up what's in the bag it doesn't tell me anything specifically about the clubs he has except what model they are which has nothing to do with the way his tweaked them

    • @jacobr4558
      @jacobr4558 12 днів тому

      So when you're talking about the arm versus the body release I'm wondering if the modern equipment requires more of a counterbalance because the clubs are so much longer? I honestly can't help but feel like Jake naps clubs must be counterbalanced in some way? The reason I think that is because you can't really release your hands and arms like that if the swing weight is too heavy. Overall weights fine your body can support that but the swing weight itself if you're swinging more hands and arms I don't feel like you could actually catch the club up at a certain swing weight. Now for him obviously his arms are muscular and he could catch up a heavier weight than I could but I'm just saying for the average person they probably need a much lighter swing weight if they're trying to release with their hands and arms correct?
